Description:

This position is for an ICU RN in a float pool.

The clinician may be floated to different ICU floors or to lower acuity units as needed.

Weekend work will be required, with a minimum of every other weekend, possibly exceeding based on unit needs.

The staffing ratio is 1:2.

Clinicians are expected to commit to working three of the five major holidays.

Requests for time off due to outside employment will not be considered.

The facility may call off staff once per two-week pay period.

Candidates will need to float between like units.

Previous charge experience is preferred but not mandatory.

A minimum of one year of experience in ICU is required.

Experience with Epic charting system is required.

Travel experience is preferred.

Candidates should provide references covering one year within the last three years during the compliance process.

The daily patient census typically involves adult and geriatric patients.

The unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Travelers may be required to float between nearby facilities if needed.

Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
