Pay range: $157,750 - $230,000/year This role offers in-state or out-of-state relocation assistance. Job Title and Reporting System Director, Radiology Services. Reports to VP of Operations, Northern Campuses. Department Summary St. Charles Health System Diagnostic Radiology Departments perform X‑Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Dexa and Mammography, and Nuclear Medicine exams in a variety of locations. We work closely with partners at Cascade Medical Imaging and Central Oregon MRI to meet the imaging needs of our community and to support the ED, OR, Inpatient Floors, Family Birthing Center, and Outpatient Services. Position Overview The System Director of Radiology Services provides strategic leadership of diagnostic radiology services across all St. Charles locations, including four hospitals and seven clinics: East, South, La Pine, Sisters, Women’s Health Imaging, Redmond, The Mountain Clinic, and The Center. The role drives systemwide business strategy, financial performance, and service line growth while ensuring alignment with organizational goals for quality, efficiency, and sustainability. The Director oversees radiology leadership across all locations, directly managing managers, supervisors, and caregivers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES Strategic Leadership and Growth – Provide strategic leadership for all diagnostic radiology services across St. Charles Health System, encompassing four hospitals and multiple outpatient sites. Develop and execute a long‑term strategy for growth, outreach expansion, and business development opportunities. Identify and implement innovative technologies and data‑driven solutions that enhance efficiency, service quality, and market competitiveness. Align radiology initiatives with executive, medical, and organizational priorities in clinical excellence, financial sustainability, and patient experience. Represent radiology in systemwide planning, budgeting, and operational decision‑making. Operational and Financial Performance – Provide system‑level oversight of all radiology operations, ensuring standardization of practices, processes, and quality metrics across all locations. Manage operational and capital budgets, evaluate financial performance, and develop strategies for cost optimization and revenue growth. Oversee vendor contracts, supply‑chain relationships, and reference radiology agreements. Use benchmarking and performance analytics to monitor productivity, turnaround times, and key performance indicators across sites. Regulatory Compliance and Quality – Ensure all applicable regulatory requirements are met, including A.L.A.R.A. standards. Establish and maintain systemwide quality assurance and performance improvement programs. Lead regulatory readiness activities, inspections, and audits, fostering a culture of continuous compliance and quality. Maintain compliance and safety requirements for all direct reports and enforce radiation safety practices. Leadership and People Management – Serve as the lead operational liaison between St. Charles Health System, CMI/COMRI, and CORA. Hire, direct, coach, and monitor the performance of all direct reports to develop a high‑performance team. Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and shared leadership across all radiology locations. Act as a member of key committees such as the CMI/COMRI Operations Committee and the Joint Venture Finance and Operations Committee. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement – Partner with medical staff, nursing, operations, and administrative teams to advance integrated approaches to patient care. Champion innovation and technology adoption, including automation, digital pathology, and data analytics tools. Promote transparent communication and engagement with internal stakeholders and community partners. Support Lean principles and job‑site improvement initiatives. Education, Certification, and Experience Education – Bachelor’s degree in a related field (MBA or MHA preferred). Licensure/Certification – Licensure, registration, or certification by an appropriate State or National body for Nursing, Home Health, Rehab, Lab, and Radiology. Valid Oregon driver’s license. American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification (obtain within 6 months upon hire). Experience – Minimum seven (7) years of related experience, including at least three (3) years of progressive leadership with two (2) years at a manager level or above. Additional Requirements Personal Protective Equipment – Must be able to wear appropriate PPE required to perform the job safely. Physical Requirements – Patient Care Level #2: Standing, walking, keyboard operation, speaking, hearing normal speech. Frequent lifting/carrying 1‑25 pounds. Occasional bending, stooping, overhead reaching. Rarely climbing stairs. No operating motor vehicle. Schedule – First Shift (United States of America). Monday‑Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, 40 hours per week. Exempt position.
