Senior Project Manager

  Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid – 2 days onsite/week)

  Pay Rate: $55–$65/hour (W-2)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced  Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale, high-visibility strategic initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. This role is responsible for providing leadership, governance, and accountability across long-term programs involving executive stakeholders, multiple teams, vendors, and integrated systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing enterprise projects within matrixed organizations and the ability to communicate effectively at the executive level while driving delivery, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic enterprise projects and programs from initiation through closeout
• Manage executive-level stakeholder engagement and vendor coordination
• Provide regular project health updates and lead sponsor meetings
• Establish and monitor project controls for scope, schedule, cost, and quality
• Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies and governance standards
• Coordinate day-to-day project activities, deliverables, and timelines across teams
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation processes
• Support long-term release planning and organizational alignment
• Facilitate communication and consensus across cross-functional teams
• Conduct training sessions, workshops, and stakeholder presentations as needed
• Ensure successful project delivery aligned with sponsor goals and business objectives

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working in  matrixed team environments
• 5+ years of experience managing  complex enterprise projects and competing priorities
• 5+ years of experience applying  Project Management methodologies and best practices
• 5+ years of experience with  system development methodologies for new and existing systems
• 5+ years of experience with  data infrastructure and data governance concepts
• Strong understanding of  data communications and information systems concepts
• Proven experience managing stakeholder relationships and executive communications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and training sessions
• Ability to build consensus and negotiate outcomes across teams
