Adjunct Psychology Instructor

Position Overview Muskegon Community College, an associate degree‑granting institution, seeks qualified candidates for the adjunct instructor position (part‑time). Applicants will be entered into the Adjunct Instructor Pool, which is open for applications but does not guarantee an immediate opening. Responsibilities Teach assigned courses, including day, night, online, and at extension centers. Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes documented student learning. Prepare, submit and maintain reports related to student learning. Grade assignments in a meaningful way, return graded assignments promptly, and assign final grades by institutional deadlines. Provide educational assistance during office hours or by appointment. Encourage student opinion survey completion for each class and review results to increase student success. Maintain professional knowledge and comply with training or hours requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Master's degree in the discipline or 18 credits in the specific discipline. Preferred teaching experience at the college level. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities, and cultures. Experience with instructional technology preferred.
