We believe that a healthy, happy team creates a better system of care for our patients and clients.We are a fast paced business, that caters to its patients and clients.Ideal TAH LVMT:Experience in a small animal general practice setting is ideal, but the skills and experience can be taught and shared with the right candidate.Antech, IDEXX, digital and dental radiology knowledgeExcellent communication and written skills as well as customer relation skillsSurgical Experience (IV catheter placement and blood draws)Be able to multi-task, and keep a calm environmentCanine pet handling - Cat knowledge and handlingPreventive care knowledgeHandle tough conversations (cost, euthanasia, medical needs)Customer service and interpersonal communication skillsMotivated to learn and continue your education.Timely and focusedSelf starterCompassionateProvides excellent and expeditious client experienceIs aware of patient needs and the correct monitoring and documentation of all medical treatments.Always has the well being of the animal and its treatment in focus and keeps the team aware of all information.Job Description, Duties and Expectations:Assist with patient care and treatmentMonitor hospitalized pets / Monitor/aid in caring for animals after surgeryMaintain inventory and stockingRestrain animals during blood draws and nail trimsAiding with routine diagnostic tests (i.e. Taking radiographs, running bloodwork, reading fecal)Maintain & sterilize surgical instruments/equipmentClean/Disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas of hospitalAdministering medications under Veterinarian supervisionFeeding/bathing animalsAnswering phonesCustomer serviceHelping clients with their petsStarting wage is based on Experience - License - Surgical Skills and Urgent Care knowledge.Wage and ExtrasBased on the candidates knowledge and experience, in the veterinary fieldPet Discounts up to 50%Quarterly bonusesPercentage of the employees' health insurance is covered.
