This role will provide general medical care and treatment to patients under the direction of providers. In addition, this role will assess training opportunities to promote team development.Schedule4 days a week, Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (32 hour week)Direct Patient CarePerforms physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines/instructions from providers and NHC practice protocolsOrders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needsRecords physical findings and formulates plan and prognosis based on patient's conditionSubmits health care plans and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation by providersPrescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment to patients, such as physical therapy, inhalations therapy, or related therapeutic proceduresRefers patients to providers for consultation or specialized health resources for treatmentIdentifies training needs and promotes developmental activities for the teamPerforms duties in accordance with the NP Supervisory AgreementImpacts patient experiences by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracyTeam SupportShares accountability for overall patient health outcomes by working in coordination with care teamsOperates to instill confidence in our care and in our facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other stakeholdersResponds promptly and with caring actions to patients and employeesMaintains professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, and the publicCooperates in accomplishing communicated department goals and objectivesIdentifies training needs and promotes developmental activities for the teamClinical AdministrationDiscusses cases with providers and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plansPerforms duties in accordance with the NP Supervisory AgreementKeeps informed and promotes organizational activities and team goals aligned to the NHC mission and visionFunctions at highest level according to credentials and competencyEducation/Experience:Master's degree in nursing, requiredCalifornia Nurse Practitioner License in good standing, requiredRegistered Nurse License in good standing, requiredCurrent CA DEA licensure is required and is to be maintained as a condition of employmentCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through an American Heart Association (AHA)-approved source is required upon hire and must be maintained as a condition of employment.AHA-approved courses include an in-person, hands-on skills check with a certified instructor using a mannequin to demonstrate CPR and emergency response techniques.Online-only BLS courses without a live skills check do not meet this requirement.Additional Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skillsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formKnowledgeable about and experience with providing direct care to patientsAbility to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent planning and organizational abilityAbility to work as part of a team as well as independentlyAbility to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical mannerPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift/carry 20 lbs/weightAbility to stand for long periods of timePay Range: $124,100 to $191,000 per year, depending on experienceCompensation Disclosure: The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to: the candidate's overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs.
