Registered Nurse

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking an experienced, motivated Registered Nurse to join our team as we advance toward an RN-led independent stress testing model. This innovative role will provide the opportunity to lead stress testing services with the support of an onsite provider and in close collaboration with our experienced stress technologist. The ideal candidate will have critical care/ED/Cath Lab and/or telemetry experience, with an in-depth understanding of cardiac arrhythmia identification and interpretation. Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to changes in a patient's clinical and cardiac status are essential. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RN to expand their practice while contributing to the development of a collaborative, patient-centered cardiovascular testing program.

Summary: Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.

Essential Functions

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.

Education
Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS (AHA)] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred Neonatal Resuscitation Certification [NRP] - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification [PALS] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred

Experience
Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.

• Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
