Job Summary The MRI technologist produces diagnostic quality images using MRI system and related equipment. The technologist must provide quality patient care while consistently adhering to the Departmental and Medical Center policies and procedures. What you will do in this role Maintain a good working relationship with all staff members. Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule as required (i.e., alternate shifts, call rotation, etc.). Show initiative and work independently without constant supervision or direction. Be responsible for completing assigned tasks and duties. Punctual and dependable, arriving at work on time. Observe universal precautions and other health and safety rules of the department and the Medical Center. Participate in continuing education essential to the field and the betterment of the patient. Demonstrate good patient care skills and communicate in a positive, compassionate manner to all age groups. Modify job duties as necessary. Appropriately assess the patient’s pain and involve the patient in effective management of the pain using age-appropriate interventions. Maintain HIPAA compliance. Maintain Imaging QA requirements (≤1% error rate). Consistently ensure prompt timely service to all outpatients. Monitor Patient Tracker consistently to prevent excessive patient waiting times. Work to meet or exceed patients’ expectations for fast, efficient, and compassionate service. Maintain a clean environment, clean equipment as required, and sanitize equipment between each patient contact. Consistently use kind words, salutations, smiles, and other friendly approaches during all patient interactions. Consistently wear identification badge while at work (≤1% non‑compliance). Takes calls according to schedule. Completes all work before clocking out and leaving. Assists the radiologist and/or other physicians as necessary. Qualifications Registered Radiographer (ARRT). State Registered Radiologic Technician. Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers, obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Graduate of a 2‑year JRCERT program in Radiologic Technology (AD or BS preferred). MRI certification.
