About the RoleThe SAFE Case Manager provides comprehensive case management, crisis intervention, advocacy, and coordinated support services for survivors of sexual assault in both residential and non-residential settings. You will conduct assessments, develop individualized service plans, provide legal and medical advocacy, coordinate the agency's Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (SAFE) Program, and connect survivors with the resources they need to achieve safety, healing, and long-term stability.
This is a highly collaborative position that works closely with law enforcement, medical providers, prosecutors, community partners, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure survivors receive compassionate, coordinated care throughout their recovery journey.
What You'll DoProvide trauma-informed crisis intervention, advocacy, safety planning, information, referrals, and ongoing case management for survivors of sexual assault.
Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop individualized service plans that promote safety, healing, and self-sufficiency.
Accompany survivors to forensic exams, medical appointments, court proceedings, law enforcement interviews, and other advocacy-related appointments as needed.
Assist clients with Crime Victims' Compensation applications, Address Confidentiality Program enrollment, housing, transportation, financial assistance, and other supportive services.
Coordinate the daily operations of the Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (SAFE) Program, including maintaining SANE schedules, program supplies, educational materials, and client comfort items.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, hospitals, medical providers, Legal Aid, and community organizations.
Participate in Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) meetings, community outreach events, prevention activities, educational presentations, and professional trainings.
Facilitate educational groups and life-skills classes while supporting shelter operations and maintaining a safe, welcoming, trauma-informed environment.
Maintain accurate client documentation, program reports, and confidential records while ensuring compliance with agency policies, grant requirements, and professional standards.

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Human Services, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum of two years of experience providing victim advocacy, crisis intervention, sexual assault response, case management, or related human services preferred.
Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, victim advocacy, and case management principles.
Strong organizational, documentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and electronic case management systems.
Current, valid Texas driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.
Ability to pass an extensive background check, including fingerprinting, drug screen, and driver's record check.
First Aid and CPR certification required (may be completed after hire with agency support).
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and participation in an on-call rotation.
Experience working with survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, or other trauma.
Working knowledge of criminal justice, civil court, and victim service systems.
Experience with grant-funded programs and documentation.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experience delivering educational presentations or training community partners.
