Senior Analytics Engineer (P&C Insurance)

Job Title: Senior Analytics Engineer (P&C Insurance)
Location: Remote
This position requires proven, hands-on experience in the P&C insurance domain, specifically working with Policy, Claims, Billing, or Finance data. Candidates without direct experience in a P&C insurance environment will not be considered.
We're looking for someone who has built reporting layers and analytics datasets within a P&C insurance company and understands the policy lifecycle, claims processing, billing cycles, and finance reporting from both the business and data perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build analytics datasets and reporting layers for P&C insurance lines of business
- Develop interactive dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI for Policy, Claims, Billing, and Finance teams
- Perform data mapping, validation, and testing across source systems
- Translate business requirements into data models and actionable insights
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, and operations teams
Required Skills:
- 6 10+ years of analytics or data engineering experience
- Direct P&C insurance domain experience (Policy, Claims, Billing, or Finance) mandatory
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills (star schema/dimensional modeling preferred)
- Hands-on Tableau and/or Power BI experience
- Experience with data validation, testing, and reconciliation
- Ability to work independently and work directly with business stakeholders
Nice to Have:
- Experience with dbt, Snowflake, or cloud data platforms
- Experience with Qlik, SSIS, or other ETL tools
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting in insurance
