About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years current experience required License: Active registered nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (can obtain after accepting) Must-Have: Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date. Description: Must have strong skills in circulating and assisting with total joint procedures. Candidate will be responsible for preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care of patients. Experience with emergency medical records system is preferred. The position requires participation in holiday call on an as-needed basis. Floating to different units may be required based on staffing needs. All scheduled time off must be discussed with management during assignment. Candidates must be able to provide proof of residency documents upon acceptance. This role involves working with interdisciplinary support teams and managing a daily census of 1-5 patients. Candidates should expect to work with a variety of patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Familiarity with specific surgical procedures such as laparoscopic and robotic surgeries is preferred. The role requires adherence to all compliance standards and policies set forth by regulatory bodies. There will be no blocked scheduling requests or major holiday time-off requests. Candidates should ensure their certifications do not expire within 45 days of the start date. This is an opportunity for an experienced nurse to join a dynamic and fast-paced surgical environment.
