, Requirements/Responsibilities

A Meat Clerk is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked meat department while providing exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include stocking and rotating meat products, monitoring inventory levels, ensuring product freshness and quality, properly labeling and pricing items, and maintaining attractive product displays. Meat Clerks assist customers with product selection and special requests, follow food safety and sanitation standards, and help receive, store, and organize deliveries. They are also responsible for keeping work areas, equipment, and display cases clean and compliant with health and safety regulations. Successful candidates should possess strong customer service skills, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The role requires physical stamina for standing, lifting, bending, and handling refrigerated products, as well as a commitment to food safety, quality standards, and creating a positive shopping experience for customers.
