For example, a five-year officer receives approximately $4,200 annually. Annual longevity pay starting at 1.5% after five years of service (? $1,490/year for an officer with 5 years of service in Sharonville in 2026), with increased percentages at higher service levels. Prior law enforcement service counts toward vacation accrual. Lateral officers accrue vacation based on years of service (for example, eight years equals 127.5 hours annually). Officers may choose compensatory time instead of overtime pay, allowing flexibility to bank time off for future use. The City offers tuition and textbook reimbursement for eligible, job-related education to support professional development.
