Leadership Opportunity for a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) in Harrisonburg, VA

Our award-winning group of OB/GYN and Midwifery Specialists is actively working to revitalize its midwifery division and is seeking a dynamic CNM Team Leader dedicated to driving the growth of the practice. Over the past 40 years, midwifery has become a trusted choice for patients in the Shenandoah Valley. However, recent changes in the community over the last 18 months have led to fragmentation of midwifery services. Our goal is to reunify and expand midwifery care by establishing a comprehensive, thriving midwifery group within its full-scope OB/GYN practice, meeting the evolving needs of the community.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Harrisonburg, VA
• Participate in recruitment or new CNMs with the goal of building the program to 4-5 Midwives.
• Work with practice administrators to develop and maintain a clinic and call schedule for CNMs.
• Explore the possibility of beginning a centering model of prenatal care.
• Provide educational support for CNMs on the team.
• Attend and participate in regular meetings with group physicians and administrators, including RMH Family Birthplace section meetings, and implement key policies within the midwifery division.
• Conduct regular meetings with the CNM team to ensure best practices.
• Serve as a model for professionalism.
