Maplewood Assisted Living is seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to join our team as a Personal Care Attendant. In this role, you will provide supporting services to our residents within their personal apartments and the common areas, helping them remain safe and comfortable within our facility.

This is a per diem position and one would be willing to pick up openings on all shifts.

Pay Rate: $23.43 with shift and weekend differentials when worked

No prior experience is required—we provide paid training and ongoing support for our team members.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with personal care, shampoos and hair care; trim nails
• Assist residents with personal dental hygiene.
• Make beds; set rooms in order, water flowers, etc.
• Observes residents and note changes in physical condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, etc. and report to the ALF Administrator or On Call Nurse on duty. If condition appears abnormal for the resident, then obtain vital signs.
• Charts required information and signs/dates entries.
• Medication observation, ordering of medication, and receiving medication to facility ensuring its accuracy.
• Assists in maintaining good public relations with staff, management, residents and the public.
• Do activities with Residents including outside excursions
• Resident Assessment Tool training and documentation for those experienced PCA’s expressing interest.
• Effective communication with residents’ families, reliable and responsible.
