Operations Agent

Job Title

Manage and oversee time-critical shipments, including air, ground, and expedited freight.

Provide real-time tracking and proactive updates to customers and stakeholders.

Coordinate with airlines, trucking companies, and logistics partners to ensure on-time delivery.

Ensure shipments go straight from pickup to delivery without transfers, minimizing handling and transit time.

Develop contingency plans for delays and resolve transport-related issues quickly.

Work closely with sales, operations, and customer service teams to meet client demands.

Negotiate pricing and service levels with carriers and vendors.

Ensure compliance with international and domestic shipping regulations.

Analyze performance data and implement process improvements for efficiency.

Provide 24/7 support for urgent shipments when required.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Proficiency in logistics software and tracking tools.

Knowledge of customs regulations and airline routing.

Education & Experience

3+ years in time-sensitive logistics, freight forwarding, or a similar role.

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred but not always required).

Experience with NFO (Next Flight Out), OBC (On-Board Courier), and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) shipments.

Familiarity with hazmat or temperature-controlled logistics.

Multilingual abilities (a plus for international shipments).

Physical Requirements

Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components

Sitting for extended periods of time

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Job will require punctual attendance and regular presence on-site at the assigned work location
