Job Title: Obstetrics & Gynecology Ancillary Sonographer Location: Astoria, OR Employment Type: Full Time (Monday - Friday, 8‑hour shift) Shift Length: 8 hours Compensation & Benefits SEIU Pay Range: $47.09 to $71.66 (dependent on experience) Sign‑on bonus: $10,000 for applicants with zero seniority at CMH who meet all other conditions (requires acceptance by June 30, 2026, and start within 3 weeks) Eligible for CMH employee referral bonus, priority recruitment, and relocation assistance On‑call responsibility with on‑site arrival within 30 minutes of contact Responsibilities The Sonographer will independently perform various sonographic examinations with minimal supervision from the Medical Director. The Sonographer will develop adequate clinical information, evaluate images, and present completed examinations for interpretation. The Sonographer may render preliminary findings at the discretion of the Medical Director. May be required to cross‑train in additional modalities, including physiological studies, as appropriate. Job Requirements Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem solving, decision‑making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, organizational relations Knowledge of policies and procedures Adaptability and flexibility License / Certification Must be registered by the ARDMS or certified by the ARRT in at least one sonographic modality Must maintain continued education requirements as specified by credentialing body Current OBRT licensure as appropriate Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association Education and Experience Sonographers who are also ARRT registered as radiographers may be required to perform diagnostic radiology studies as needed, including routine workday rotations in radiographic modalities as appropriate.
