Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides essential nursing care in long-term care facilities, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The LPN plays a critical role in supporting patient well-being through direct care, monitoring, and coordination of health services during night shifts.

13 Week Contract with the option to extend

Shift: Nights

3- 12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately
• Perform wound care and dressings
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation
• Educate patients on health and care plans
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
• Implement infection control procedures
• Respond effectively to emergencies
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff
• Report patient condition changes promptly
• Handle medical equipment safely and efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of practical nursing experience
• Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing
• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Proficiency in patient care, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and wound care
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Effective time management abilities
