Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the operating room team for travel assignment. The role requires independent management of complex surgical cases, including trauma, orthopedic, neuro, and robotic procedures, within a busy surgical facility.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and circulate surgical procedures in orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and robotic cases.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols throughout surgical procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms with appropriate equipment and supplies for each case.
• Assist surgical team members by providing necessary instruments and support during operations.
• Document patient information and procedural details accurately in the EMR system.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety during all phases of surgical activities.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years circulating experience in the OR.
• Demonstrate proficiency in orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and robotic surgeries, including DaVinci procedures.
• Ability to independently manage two operating rooms on weekends and during trauma staffing.
• Be capable of working in an in-house trauma-designated facility.
• Successful candidates must have experience with Meditech EMR or similar systems.
• Able to stand for extended periods and adapt to fast-paced surgical environments.
