We’re building an amazing team for a Contemporary Mexican Restaurant located in the Woodlands, TX 77381. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Cook who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in preparing high-quality food.

Job Description:
A Contemporary Mexican Restaurant is hiring a passionate and dependable Cook to join our Back of House team. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation.
• Handle food preparation, including chopping, slicing, grilling, sautéing, frying, and other cooking techniques as required.
• Ensure food is prepared accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain appropriate food temperatures and properly store ingredients.
• Communicate effectively with chefs, kitchen staff, servers, and management during service.
• Work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, rotating, and storing food products and supplies.
• Minimize food waste by following proper portioning and preparation procedures.
• Keep kitchen equipment, cooking surfaces, and work areas clean and sanitized.
• Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen duties as needed.

What You Bring / Lo Que Tú Aportas

• Minimum of 3 years of previous experience as a Cook required
• Experience in a full-service or high-volume restaurant environment is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining food quality and presentation.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure during busy service periods.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties required in a restaurant kitchen.
• Food Handler Certification preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
