Production Operator - Grand Rapids, MichiganPay Rate: $17.00 per hour90-day Temp-to-Hire positionProduction Shifts:First Shift: 5:30am-4:00pm (OT and weekend work required as scheduled)Second Shift: 4:00pm-2:30am (OT and weekend work required as scheduled)Summary of the Production Operator:The primary role of the Production Operator is to manufacture quality products in a safe manner. Responsible for assembling and/or fitting parts together to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench or a conveyor line. May include operations requiring the use of simple hand tools and/or power tools or special assembly tools.Duties of the Production Operator:Set up and operate machinesLoad/unload machine (may be assisted by automation or ergo aids)Relief of fellow operatorsOperate manual material handling equipment to restock production areas with raw material or purchased partsMove wheeled carts, racks, or bins containing work in-progress to adjacent production areasInspect product qualityCleaning surrounding work areasMay be assigned different duties depending on plant needsRequirements of the Production Operator:Ability to frequently lift up to 45lbs.Ability to frequently bend, reach, or twistAbility to frequently lift, transfer at waist-height 30lbs.Ability to stand and/or walk long periods of timeMUST PASS DRUG SCREENA successful candidate will be subject to a background check and must receive satisfactory results of the same, as a condition of joining the team.By applying for this role, you confirm that all information submitted is accurate and complete.
