We are seeking a Professional Engineer / General Manager to join our team! You will oversee Project Management, Operations, and Engineering at our Fort Myers location.

Responsibilities:

• Exceptional computer related skills to navigate web-based project information
• Ability to utilize established company electronic directories (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel) in the development of project submittal requirements
• Assist in the routine preparation and submission of project documents including Quotes, Contracts, Change Orders, Pay Applications, and Close Out Documents
• Develop a working knowledge of the proprietary systems developed by the company for the various scopes of work including materials, fabrication techniques and what is necessary to execute the scope of work
• Assist in the acquisition of building permits, if required by scope of work
• Establish clear line of communication with team members
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to perform the tasks necessary to promptly and efficiently complete tasks
• Represent the company in a positive and informative manner
• Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
• Reliable in-office presence Monday–Friday in Fort Myers, FL
• Time commitment of 45+ hours per week

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering
• Florida Professional Engineering (PE) License
• Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
• Familiarity with construction management software
• Solid MS Office and AutoCad skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• A working knowledge of structural materials and design: Concrete, Metals, Foundations, Wind, Drainage
• Ability to read and interpret construction prints and specifications
• Ability to generate calculations for commercial customers
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening test
• This position requires a valid driver license. A pre-employment background check, including driving history, is required.
