Procurement Agent - Millennium Space Systems

Overview Boeing Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. This onsite role at our El Segundo, California office supports procurement leadership within a cross-functional team to drive procurement strategy, negotiations, process improvement, CPSR/compliance, and purchase order execution. Internal job title: Procurement Agent (Level 4). Position Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives Partner with engineers and internal stakeholders to ensure source selection and procurements meet program requirements (schedule, cost, quality) Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day issues, questions, and status inquiries Support the development and implementation of new changes/goals with the manager Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Material Planning and Supplier/Compliance Operations) to support overall supply chain efficiency Analyze team performance metrics (KPIs), identify areas for improvement, and implement tactical solutions to drive procurement efficiency, cost savings, supplier performance, and on-time delivery Guide and motivate team members Develop long-term plans that align with supply chain goals Interpret data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions Identify root causes, develop creative solutions, and implement effective resolutions within the team Actively manage the procurement process by placing orders and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment Provide oversight of FAR/DFARS compliance and ensure adherence to internal processes aligned with DCAA audits and AS9100 standards Maintain audit readiness and support continuous improvement to meet regulatory and quality expectations Communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders Adapt strategies to evolving disruptions and obstacles to achieve objectives Create and implement processes and strategies such as Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Blanket Purchase Orders, Long-Term Agreements, and future forecasting Contribute to MRP system process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external suppliers to facilitate collaboration and performance Assist in understanding recurring issues with Shipping & Receiving and Inventory management Lead technical calls with suppliers and engineers to resolve issues and drive innovation Basic Qualifications (Required) Minimum of 7 years' experience in procurement Ability to obtain US citizenship and U.S. security clearance; final clearance post-start required Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Experience in aerospace; buying experience preferred Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and relevant procurement regulations Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field Experience as an Aerospace Buyer or Subcontracts Administration APICS/ASCM Certification Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements Active Security Clearance SAP/SAR Comfortable briefing all levels of leadership Additional Information Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s COI assessment process Drug Free Workplace: Millennium Space Systems is a Drug Free Workplace; post-offer applicants and employees are subject to testing per policy Total Rewards: Competitive base pay and variable compensation; eligible benefits include health insurance, HSA/FSA, retirement savings, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off; program details vary by location and eligibility Pay range: Summary pay range for Level 4 is $118,150 - $173,750 Export Control: US Person required per 22 C.F.R. 120.62; US-based job with ITAR compliance Relocation: Not a negotiable benefit Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; interim/final Secret clearance post-start required Visa Sponsorship: Employer will not sponsor employment visas Shift: 1st shift Equal Opportunity Employer: Boeing is an equal opportunity employer; decisions are made without regard to protected characteristics Application Deadline Applications for this position will be accepted until Jun. 18, 2026. #J-18808-Ljbffr Boeing
