Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in St. Peters, Missouri.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/19/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 19, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring stroke/post cardiac cath care experience and night shift availability.Details\n \n Work in the Telemetry unit of a short-term acute care hospital with 110 staffed beds\n Adult and geriatric patient population including total joint replacement, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetic, medical COVID, and oral surgery cases\n Care for stroke/CVA patients and post cardiac catheterization patients\n Average daily census of 16 with a patient ratio of 1:4-6\n Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00-07:30\n Required to work every other weekend\n Required to float between two hospital locations as needed, within the assigned service line\n Uses Epic charting system\n Requirements\n \n Active MO or compact RN license required\n Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS\n Minimum 2 years of experience required\n Telemetry, step-down, or stroke care experience required\n Post cardiac catheterization patient care experience required\n Epic charting experience required\n Community hospital experience preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Provide telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management\n Perform respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy management\n Manage central, peripheral, and PICC lines along with IV therapy and blood product administration\n Provide wound care and wound vac management\n Manage IV insulin protocols and heparin protocols\n Utilize Rapid Response/Code teams as needed\n Navy scrub color required\n Free parking available onsite\n Some initial orientation shifts may occur outside typical contract hours\n Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing or will need to be shaved\n First-time travelers are welcome to apply if they meet the unit's experience requirements\n Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility\n Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment\n Permanent BJC or Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler\n Standard travelers may work up to an 18-month period before requiring a 3-month break in service\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-744739.
