Job Description The Scheduling Coordinator I is responsible for scheduling appointments, consults and follow‑up appointments for patients. Responsibilities Schedules patient FPA appointments and updates the practice management system. Collects patient demographics and insurance information and enters them into the practice management system. Verifies patient insurance coverage prior to appointment and advises the patient of any necessary referrals or authorizations. May schedule patient appointments for tests or consults. May initiate reminder calls for next‑day appointments. May act as liaison with the Administrative Assistant staff to address patient concerns or other issues. Performs other related duties. Qualifications High School diploma or GED. One year of secretarial or clerical experience, preferably in a medical practice environment. Compensation The salary range for the role is \$17.29 – \$25.94 hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
