Physical Therapist AssistantWe are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide rehabilitation services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence through individualized therapeutic interventions.Key Responsibilities:Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions.Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and functional activities.Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes to the Physical Therapist.Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and home programs.Assist with therapeutic equipment and assistive devices.Maintain accurate treatment documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and facility policies.Participate in quality improvement and continuing education activities.Required Qualifications:Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice.Current BLS certification required.Minimum 1 year of recent PTA experience preferred.Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises, mobility training, rehabilitation techniques, and patient safety.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in acute care, outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, SNF, home health, or long-term care settings.Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, post-surgical, or medically complex patients.Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
