Data Engineer for Finance

A fast-growing AI company''s Finance organization is looking for a Data Engineer to develop and maintain the data infrastructure that supports its CFO team. This role offers the opportunity to join a small, dynamic team with a wide-ranging mandate: build data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the Finance team''s roadmap progresses smoothly. This is a full-time, onsite contract position for 6 months, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs. Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain PySpark-based data pipelines to ensure accurate and timely data flow for Finance.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, join, and validate large volumes of financial data.
• Collaborate with Finance and engineering stakeholders to transform ambiguous requests into effective data infrastructure.
• Quickly identify and resolve pipeline issues, taking ownership of data quality from end to end.

• 2, 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark and large-scale/distributed data processing.
• Strong SQL skills, with direct testing during two technical interviews.
• Willingness to work onsite full-time.
• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to work independently.

This role is focused on hands-on data engineering tasks and does not involve business intelligence, dashboarding, reporting, or machine learning model training or research.

Full-time, onsite contract position for 6 months, with potential for extension.

$60 - $85 per hour.

Must be able to work onsite in San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; or Bellevue, WA.
