Registered Nurse - IR/Special Procedures

Job Summary:

Provide specialized interventional radiology nursing care in a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center setting. Deliver comprehensive patient support before, during, and after interventional procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer patient care and monitor vital signs during interventional radiology procedures.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians and technical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Prepare patients by explaining procedures, ensuring consent, and performing assessments.
  
  
• 
  Maintain sterile technique and assist with equipment setup and operation.
  
  
• 
  Document procedures, patient responses, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Support post-procedure assessments and patient education for recovery.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active RN license in the state or a compact license compliant with NLC guidelines.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience, with 3+ years preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
  
  
• 
  Complete at least one prior travel assignment in a clinical setting.
  
  
• 
  Be willing to work full-time day shifts with call responsibilities, including one weekend per month.
  
  
• 
  Possess a valid drivers license and meet travel compliance guidelines.
