Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift, 3x12.0

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while adhering to the Select Medical Way and Core Values.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create an individualized plan of care.
• Identify teaching needs and goals based on patient diagnosis through collaboration with patients, families, and the Interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information and status updates for team conferences.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in accordance with policies.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, prioritizing education based on identified health care needs.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Maintaining personal and environmental safety in compliance with hospital policies.
• Engage in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for professional growth through continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH only).
• A minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
• ICU experience is required.
