Grounds Maintenance Associate

This Grounds Maintenance Associate will be responsible for landscaping duties, janitorial duties, and litter collection. The position also requires assisting and providing customer service to Youth Athletic Associations and park users. Essential Duties

• Maintaining turf (natural and synthetic) on athletic fields, dragging baseball field infields, changing home plates and base anchors
• Operating irrigation systems and performing minor repairs
• Maintaining passive areas
• Operating tractors and commercial zero-turn mowers
• Operating small engine equipment (backpack blowers, edgers, and string trimmers)
• Inspecting park assets including playgrounds for safety standards
• Applying herbicides (pre- and post-emergent) and fertilizers
• Performing preventative maintenance and performing repairs on equipment, chain link fencing/gates
• Reporting incidents to leadership
• Providing maintenance reports

Other Job Requirements/Information

• This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after-hours, weekends, and/or holidays.

Grounds Maintenance Associate I

Grade Salary: $40,000. The grade for this position is A12(2). Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, such as those listed above, will also be considered.

Grounds Maintenance Associate II Grade Salary: $42,000. The grade for this position is A13(2). Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of grounds maintenance experience
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, such as those listed above, will also be considered.
• Driver's license
• CPR/First Aid Certification
