Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapist Specialty: Inpatient Occupational Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Tuesday to Saturday Hours per Shift: 8 hours (0830 - 1700) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: California License Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of experience in inpatient acute occupational therapy. Ability to work with adult and geriatric populations, including orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary complications. Description: This position involves providing occupational therapy services in an inpatient acute setting. The hospital has a capacity of 189 beds, serving an average census of 150 patients. Common diagnoses include a diverse range of orthopedic, neurological, and medical conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists and residents. The role also includes working with patients on ventilators and those requiring wound care. You may occasionally float between inpatient and outpatient services as needed. Successful candidates will have familiarity with hand therapy and a variety of assessment and treatment techniques. Maintaining comprehensive documentation using an electronic medical record system is essential. This position is ideal for individuals who value a collaborative work environment and are committed to patient-centered care. Weekend and holiday shifts are not required for this role.
