Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Spearfish, South Dakota

Shift: 12 Hour Nights, 19:00:00-07:00:00

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Start Date: 06/22/2026

Job Description:

Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery responsible for providing care to laboring patients, postpartum, antepartum, newborns, and infants less than 28 days old, in a Level 2A Nursery setting. The role will involve interpreting and intervening on EFM, conducting adult and neonatal assessments, and may require floating within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities:

Care for laboring patients with a patient ratio of 1:2.
Manage care of couplets with a patient ratio of 1:3-4.
Provide care in expanded settings, with possible floating to Med/Surg units.

Requirements:

BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required.
Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with South Dakota Board of Nursing licensure.
Proficiency in EFM interpretation and intervention, as well as adult and neonatal assessment skills.
