Testing Technician

Junior / Entry-Level Testing TechnicianRazor is seeking a 100% remote Junior / Entry-Level Testing Technician to support software testing efforts for systems supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This role is ideal for individuals at the beginning of their technology careers who are eager to learn how software is built, tested, and improved. No prior professional testing experience is required; training will be provided. The Testing Technician will work closely with developers and senior testers to validate software functionality and ensure quality releases.ResponsibilitiesHelp test software features based on user stories and requirementsFollow step-by-step test cases and learn how to create new test casesExecute manual tests and document expected versus actual resultsIdentify, log, and clearly report defects and issues to the development teamAssist with generating test data and validating overall system behaviorParticipate in team reviews, meetings, and release-related activitiesGain exposure to test automation tools and practices over timeQualificationsStrong attention to detail and the ability to notice issues others may missLogical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to follow defined processes and document work clearly and accuratelyBasic understanding of how software or applications work, gained through education, self-study, or hands-on useGood written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining technical issuesWillingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow within a team environmentDesired SkillsExposure to bug tracking or issue management tools such as JiraFamiliarity with testing or automation tools such as SeleniumBasic understanding of Agile or other team-based software development methodologiesGeneral awareness of operating systems and how web-based applications functionRazor is an EEO EmployerRazor is an equal opportunity employer.
