Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Staff Urologist in Kansas, you will be a pivotal clinician and educator, delivering the highest quality patient care and comprehensive urological services while actively shaping the next generation of medical professionals within our Kansas healthcare system. This role involves a blend of didactic and clinical teaching in both inpatient and outpatient settings - encompassing diagnostic, surgical, and post-operative urological care, as well as broader urological management, while contributing to clinical quality improvement initiatives and community benefit programs, ensuring access to top-tier urological care for our patients.

You will actively comply with all managed care programs, Medicare, Medicaid, and federal/state reimbursement plans, including our ethical and religious directives. Furthermore, you will lead and participate in various activities focused on promoting clinical excellence and quality improvement within urology services, engage in medical staff committees, and, when assigned, provide crucial on-call coverage to support both our community's urgent needs and potential resident supervision.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Urologist, holding an active Kansas medical license (or eligibility to obtain one), demonstrating a commitment to continuously developing personal and professional competence through ongoing medical education and maintaining applicable board certification. We seek candidates who embody the highest standards of medical ethics, possess strong communication skills for patient, administrative, and potential trainee interactions, and are dedicated to actively engaging in hospital operational matters, peer review, quality improvement, and providing impactful community benefit services, including charity care and patient education.
