Overview Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel) – Med/Surg specialty Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States Start date: 08/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks (weekly contract) Weekly pay: $1,603.00–$1,692.00 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Shift: Day shift, 12x3 (12-hour shifts, three days per week) Setting: Acute care inpatient Med/Surg with overflow oncology beds This assignment is a travel - temporary position staffed through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Key Highlights Weekly pay range: $1,603–$1,692 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, three days per week Start date: 08/02/2026 Assignment setting: acute care Med/Surg with overflow oncology coverage EPIC electronic medical record required No RTO allowed during the assignment Common patient mix: general Med/Surg, overflow oncology Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg unit, including monitoring and reassessment Administer medications, IV therapies, and pain management per orders Perform wound care, dressings, catheterization, and routine skilled procedures Document care and observations in EPIC accurately and promptly Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans Educate patients and families on treatments, discharge planning, and safety measures Ensure patient safety, fall prevention, infection control, and adherence to protocols Complete shift handoffs with clear, concise information to the oncoming team Requirements Current Registered Nurse license; Nursys license verification required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg (general) nursing experience Certification Card(s) appropriate for the role (current nursing certifications as applicable) EPIC experience or demonstrated ability to learn EPIC quickly Education: graduate from an accredited nursing program; eligible for licensure in the applicable jurisdiction Ability to work day shift on a 12x3 schedule and to meet the demands of an inpatient Med/Surg setting Benefits and Support Dedicated travel and recruiter support throughout the assignment Credentialing assistance and onboarding guidance Ongoing assignment support with communication to address needs and changes Opportunities for assignment extension for eligible clinicians #J-18808-Ljbffr
