American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a float pool position requiring 2+ years of adult critical care and emergency department experience on night shift
Job Details • Respiratory Float Pool role covering Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department units,• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7p-7:30a,
• Every other weekend required,
• No on-call requirement,
• Epic charting experience preferred,
• Dark grey scrub color required, Job Requirements • Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required if applicable,
• Current ACLS, BLS, and RRT certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings,
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred,
• Skilled in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation,
• Proficient in airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care,
• Experience with medication delivery systems such as nebulizers, MDIs, and aerosol setups,
• Skilled in drawing and interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs),
• Experience with equipment such as Hamilton G5, Puritan Bennett 980, Philips Respironics V60, Optiflow, and CoughAssist,
• PA fingerprints required for clearance,
• Two valid professional references and copies of certifications required for consideration, Additional Information • Work in a 186-bed community teaching hospital and Level II Adult Trauma Center,
• Facility is part of a large academic health system serving Pennsylvania and New Jersey,
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position,
• Local candidates accepted with a reduced rate applying to those residing within 50 miles of the facility,
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application and cannot be accommodated afterward
