About the Role

Catapult Manufacturing manufactures design-driven acoustic wall and ceiling products — PET acoustic panels, felt-layered panels, baffles, and ceiling clouds made from recycled, sustainable materials. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Acoustic Panel Assembler to join our shop team. In this hands-on role you will build our finished acoustic products from cut components through assembly, quality inspection, and packaging, helping deliver the clean, precise finish our customers expect.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, cut sheets, and shop drawings to build products to specification.

• Measure, cut, and trim PET acoustic panels and acoustic felt to required dimensions.

• Laminate and bond panel layers (e.g., acoustic core with felt facing), applying adhesives cleanly and accurately.

• Assemble finished products — wall panels, baffles, and ceiling clouds — and attach mounting hardware, frames, and backers.

• Operate hand and power tools and shop equipment such as saws, routers, cutting tables, and pneumatic/adhesive equipment.

• Inspect finished work for quality: correct dimensions, color match, clean edges, secure bonds, and a defect-free appearance.

• Package and prepare finished product for shipment, labeling accurately per the order.

• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe (5S), and maintain tools and equipment.

• Track material usage and report shortages or defective materials to the supervisor.

• Meet daily production targets, quality standards, and deadlines.

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.

• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math accurately.

• Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, and written/verbal instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

• Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on physical work throughout the shift. Preferred (Not Required)

• Prior experience in assembly, fabrication, woodworking, cabinetry, upholstery, or general manufacturing. • Experience with hand and power tools and/or adhesives and lamination.

• Forklift certification or experience.

• Experience in a production environment with quality and output standards.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for the full shift.

• Lift and carry up to [50] lbs regularly; occasionally handle larger panels with assistance.

• Work in a shop/manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, adhesives, and noise; PPE provided and required.

• Manual handling of tools, materials, and finished product throughout the day.
