About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency / ICU Overflow

Atlanta, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Emergency Department overflow area serving ICU-level patients
• Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients requiring intensive care support within the ED setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes in a high-volume environment
• Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS protocols as indicated
• Respond to rapidly changing patient conditions and prioritize care in a fast-paced, busy hospital setting

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Combined experience in both Emergency Department and ICU settings is highly beneficial
• Comfort working in high-census, fast-paced acute care environments
