Bistro Romano, an upscale Italian restaurant & wine shoppe situated in an 18th century granary in Society Hill celebrating 38 years on Lombard Street, Philadelphia, is seeking a Floor Manager to join the Team. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years as floor manager in upscale dining and service
• Committed to providing the highest quality service to guests at all times
• Maintain integrity of service, visit tables, ensure expectations are met, guests pleased
• Responsible to assist on the floor when necessary
• Support team recruiting, hiring, supervising, scheduling, development, mentoring, training
• Ability to diffuse any guest issue with team to ensure guest leaves pleased and likely to return
• Partner with the chef team to ensure proper food presentation and delivery to guests
• Maintain front-of-house staff schedule utilizing scheduling software
• Complete opening and closing procedures, key holder
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage expectations, processes, and multiple projects simultaneously
• Possess strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to manage team, motivate the team
• Lead team with mutual respect must in a safe environment
• Self-disciplined, shows initiative, possesses leadership ability and is outgoing
• Experience with FOH ordering and receiving deliveries
• Work clean and safe following all City of Philadelphia Health Department regulations
• Knowledge of BEO private party execution

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for the entire workday.
• Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the restaurant. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
• Climbing steps regularly.
