Millwright Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Millwright Manager

Status: Non-exempt

Salary Range: $17-$22/hour depending on experience

Purpose And Summary Statement: Works closely on a millwright crew to perform repairs and maintenance at grain and agronomy facilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs maintenance and repairs of equipment as requested
• Helps maintain an appropriate inventory of parts necessary for repairs and maintenance
• Responsible for housekeeping of the shop and on-site work areas

Other Job Functions: Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 1 or more years of related work experience
• Required skills include fabrication, cutting, welding, bearing replacement, painting
• Ability to follow installation/assembly instructions
• Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record

Frequently exposed or required to:

• Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
• Noisy conditions
• Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
• Will be required climb ladders to work at varying heights Grain legs, bins, tanks
• Confined spaces
• Lift 51-70 pounds
• Required to push heavy objects
• Ability to work extended hours in peak season.
