Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Providing expert emergency nursing care in a high-volume, Level II trauma center, the RN will deliver comprehensive treatment to diverse patient populations. This role emphasizes teamwork, clinical excellence, and patient-centered service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs through thorough triage and continuous monitoring.
• Administer medications and interventions following established protocols and physician orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and promptly within the Cerner system.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, infection control, and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of clinical experience, including 1 year in an emergency department.
• Proven ability to perform advanced emergency procedures and respond to trauma cases efficiently.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days of hire).
• Demonstrated teamwork skills and ability to provide coaching and feedback.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, including every other weekend.
• Experience in high-volume EDs with over 100,000 visits preferred.
