  Job Summary:

As a Claims Support Specialist, you will be an integral part of a dynamic Claims organization which aims to provide a terrific Claims experience to help our customers! This means answering questions, routing calls, helping to assign files and assignments and finding the answers! In addition, you’ll assist with mail and help our customers get paid for their claims and move forward with their lives after a car accident, vehicle theft, roof leaks at their house, etc. You will also handle low complexity Claim files on occasion. In addition, you’ll be asked to help plan fun events for the office, order supplies, help with making travel arrangements and other things to help support our customers, claim adjusters and leaders. This position is dynamic, requiring flexibility and the ability to multi-task to provide multi-faceted assistance to the claim’s organization.

Candidates must be able to work in-office 3 days per week 

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Manage/Process Incoming Mail and Phone Calls (75%).
• Perform Claim Intake and Loss Assignment Process, which includes, but is not limited to (10%):
• Setting up a new claim record in the claims system.
• Cross reference any duplicate filings and coordinate with Claims Representative in relation to closing the previous filing.
• Post payback/adjustments from Subro/Salvage (10%).
• Handle low complexity claims (5%)
• Support Claims Team when directed by Claims Management (i.e. other duties as assigned)

Requirements:

 

The Ideal Candidate will have the following:  

• High School Diploma
• Significant prior applicable work experience required
• Some college / college degree preferred
• Bilingual, especially Spanish is helpful, but not required
• Friendly, positive and professional demeanor
• Ability to make timely and accurate decisions
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment with limited oversight

Competitive Compensation – Salaries will be established commensurate with experience. This is a non-exempt hourly position.
