Cyber Security Architect – Lexington, MA (Hybrid) Aquila Technology is seeking a Cyber Security Architect to support one of the nation’s premier defense research organizations. This role focuses on Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and Cloud security , with an emphasis on Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance and NSA’s Raise the Bar (RTB) requirements. Clearance: Must have an Active Secret Clearance and be a U.S. Citizen Location: Hybrid – Onsite in Lexington, MA (3–5 days/week; local candidates only) Key Responsibilities Lead full lifecycle RMF implementation for CDS & Cloud systems (NIST SP 800-37, CNSSI 1253, ICD 503). Architect and secure Cross Domain Solutions in alignment with NSA RTB. Design and secure cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Gov, DAF Cloud Works) per DoD SRG & FedRAMP. Develop cybersecurity policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to CDS and cloud environments. Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and implement remediation strategies. Deliver training on RMF, CDS, cloud security, and NSA RTB best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field. 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years RMF and 3+ years CDS & cloud security . Proven expertise in policy development, compliance, and technical security controls. Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning & cloud security tools. Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts. Preferred Certifications CISSP, CCSP, CASP+, AWS/Azure security certifications Why Join Aquila?
