Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region, providing essential respiratory care services within the scope of physician orders. This role involves administering various oxygen therapies, aerosol treatments, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation for adult and geriatric patients. You will plan, implement, and evaluate therapy effectiveness while collaborating closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality, patient-centered care.

Education

Associate degree from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited Respiratory Therapy program is required.

Experience

Minimum of two years of directly related experience in an acute care setting is necessary to succeed in this role.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current, unrestricted respiratory care practitioner license for the state of Washington.
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification required; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire.

Requirements and Skills

Strong knowledge of respiratory care theories and clinical skills is essential. You must be proficient in operating respiratory therapy equipment safely and effectively, assessing patient needs, and tailoring treatments accordingly. Experience with pulmonary function testing, mechanical ventilators, and therapeutic gas administration is expected. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and families are vital. The role also demands leadership qualities, including delegation, coaching, and participation in training programs.

Work Environment
