Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, with weekends every other week.

Job Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in the NICU and critical care settings. The role requires demonstrating proficiency in various critical care procedures and technologies, including the operation of ventilators and blood gas analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Performing ABG draws and assisting with intubation as necessary.
• Administering nebulizer treatments and other respiratory therapies.
• Monitoring and assessing patient responses to therapies.
• Maintaining comprehensive patient documentation using Meditech.
• Collaborating effectively with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience, with NICU and ICU experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• RRT licensure is a must.
• Experience with Servo I ventilator and I-Stat is highly desirable.
• Good customer service skills and ability to work with a diverse patient population.

Dress Code: All staff must wear black scrubs. Personal grooming should reflect professionalism, including clean and neat hair, trimmed facial hair, and covered tattoos when possible.
