Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout their surgical experience.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the OR circulator, coordinating and managing patient care in the operating room.
Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, including equipment and supplies.
Assist the surgical team with patient positioning, draping, and instrument handling.
Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
Monitor patient vital signs and communicate changes to the surgical team promptly.
Participate in pre- and post-operative patient assessments and education.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
1 to 2 years of experience in the operating room setting preferred.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Advanced certifications in perioperative nursing preferred.
Ability to float within a 25-mile radius may be required.

Unit Profile

You will be part of a dynamic surgical unit handling a variety of cases, including total joint replacements, spinal surgeries, robotics, and other surgical specialties. The average daily cases range from 10 to 25, focusing on ensuring efficient and high-quality surgical services for the community.
