Work Environment\n

This full-time remote position offers flexibility in hours with regular office hours typically from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., alongside occasional evening availability during critical periods such as exam seasons or school events. Our clinical team regularly collaborates with educators, parents, and support staff to engage students in meaningful therapeutic processes. While the majority of the work will occur virtually, our commitment to using cutting-edge technology and resources ensures effectiveness in delivering services and connecting with students.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to discern the mental health needs of students, ensuring the development of individualized treatment plans that align with their goals and needs.

  • Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions providing short-term interventions and crisis assessment for students experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and other psychological challenges.

  • Lead targeted therapy groups and workshops addressing critical topics such as coping strategies, self-esteem building, and emotional regulation to help students develop essential life skills.

  • Collaborate effectively with school staff and medical professionals to coordinate holistic care for students, incorporating feedback and insights from educators and families.

  • Engage in outreach activities, such as school mental health awareness campaigns and wellness seminars, to promote a proactive approach to mental health within the school community.

  • Maintain stringent confidentiality practices while keeping accurate records of patient interactions in compliance with privacy regulations and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role significantly impacts the mental health of students in school settings, addressing issues that typically arise during formative years. Your work will involve collaborating with adolescents who face various challenges, including academic stress, peer relationship issues, and family dynamics. Your efforts will not only support individual students but will also contribute to creating a healthier school culture and promoting overall student well-being.

Qualifications\n

  • Must hold an active state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required; a Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred.

  • Demonstrated understanding of adolescent mental health issues and the unique challenges faced by students in educational settings.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills that foster engagement with students, parents, and school staff in a collaborative manner.

  • Proficiency in evidence-based practices suitable for a school counseling environment, with a readiness to apply brief therapy models effectively.

  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the capacity to prioritize effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Previous experience working in a school or educational environment is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with digital tools and telehealth platforms used for remote counseling sessions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

  • Annual salary ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
