Medical Lab Technologist

PAML a Labcorp company is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team in Spokane, WA.

Work Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 4:00 am to 2:30 pm overtime and additional days or hours may be required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology
• ASCP or AMT certification or Certified Toxicologist is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year prior Experience in a Clinical Lab
• 6 months experience and familiarity with laboratory information systems
• 6 months or more experience with LCMSMS, GCMS, GCFID and/or ICPMS testing

• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Pay Range: $27.77 - $37.00 hourly Plus 3rd shift differentials All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
