The Journeyman Electrician will perform electrical installation and maintenance on both residential and commercial projects, working independently as well as within teams. This role involves supervising apprentices, ensuring safety compliance, and interpreting blueprints to complete wiring and equipment testing efficiently. Occasional travel to multiple job sites and flexible hours, including possible overtime, are part of the position.

Responsibilities

• Install wiring for residential and commercial electrical systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes
• Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams accurately
• Test installed equipment and electrical components
• Interact professionally with customers
• Document work performed and maintain records
• Supervise apprentices and collaborate with team members

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Journeyman Electrician License
• Proficient in electrical wiring and blueprint reading
• Strong knowledge of safety compliance and electrical codes
• Skilled in troubleshooting and use of hand and power tools
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
• Strong problem-solving skills
