Our organization is in search of a physician or an experienced laboratory leader to take on the role of Medical Director for the Genetic Testing Laboratories within the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics. This position presents an exciting chance to join a well-established and rapidly expanding academic laboratory, contributing to its next phase of development in clinical diagnostics and genomics.

Located within the School of Medicine, the laboratory serves patients throughout our health system and across the state. With a growing demand for genetic testing and robust collaboration among clinical and research teams, this program offers a vibrant and supportive atmosphere with significant opportunities for making a difference.

In this position, you will collaborate with current leadership to steer the lab's operations, strategy, and overall vision. Responsibilities will include supporting the development and expansion of tests, working closely with clinical and health system partners, and assisting with processes related to billing, approvals, and the launch of new services. The role is adaptable and can be tailored to leverage your strengths, whether they lie in operational leadership, clinical expertise, or strategic growth.

We are looking for candidates who are board-certified or board-eligible MD, MD/PhD, or PhD, with a background in molecular genetics, cytogenetics, and/or clinical laboratory management. The ideal applicant should be collaborative, flexible, and comfortable navigating a complex academic and healthcare environment, with a passion for fostering program growth and evolution.
